Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
  • 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 0.5 tsp Hing
  • 130 g Tomato (chopped)
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.25 tsp Rasam Powder
  • 1.25 tsp Salt
  • 1.5 tbsp Jaggery
  • 6 g Tamarind Paste
  • 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed)
  • 5 cloves Garlic (peeled)
  • 5 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 510 ml Water
  • 5 stems Coriander Leaves (minced)

Instructions

Add tempering and base to jar

Add Refined Oil, Mustard Seeds, Curry Leaves, and Hing to The Upliance jar. Immediately add the Tomatoes, Turmeric, Rasam Powder, Salt, Jaggery, and Tamarind Paste.

The device will cook the base

The Upliance will sauté the mixture on medium-high heat for 7 minutes with automatic stirring to soften the tomatoes and cook the spices.

Add aromatics and simmer

Add Green Chilli, Garlic, Ginger, and Water to the jar. The device will chop the aromatics and then simmer the soup on medium-high heat for approximately 8 minutes.

The dish is ready

The Rasam is cooked and aromatic. Open the lid, garnish with minced Coriander Leaves, and serve hot.
