Ingredients

  • 100 g Foxtail Millet (washed and soaked overnight)
  • 1.5 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.25 tsp Hing
  • 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 1 piece Onion (cut in two)
  • 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed)
  • 3 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 50 g Carrot (chopped)
  • 40 g Frozen Peas
  • 380 ml Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 8 Cashews (for garnish)

Instructions

Add aromatics to jar

Add ghee, hing, mustard seeds, curry leaves, onion, green chilli, and ginger to The Upliance jar.

The device will now cut and sauté

The Upliance will chop the aromatics and sauté them on low heat for 3 minutes with automatic stirring until fragrant.

Add millets and vegetables

Add soaked millets, water, carrots, peas, salt, and sugar to the jar. The device will cook the mixture on low heat for 20 minutes with continuous automatic stirring.

The dish is ready

Once cooked, transfer the Millets Upma to a bowl. Garnish with roasted cashews and serve hot.
