Ingredients

  • 80 g Cowpea (soaked overnight)
  • 500 ml Water
  • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 250 g Cabbage (chopped)
  • 25 g Grated Coconut
  • 2 pieces Onion (cut into four)
  • 2 stems Ginger (peeled and minced)
  • 5 cloves Garlic (peeled)
  • 3 g Dried Red Chilli
  • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 0.75 tsp Salt

Add initial ingredients to jar

Add 80g soaked cowpea, 500ml water, 2 tbsp refined oil, 1 tsp turmeric, and 0.75 tsp salt to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select pressure cook mode at low flame for 30 minutes (5 whistles).

The device will now pressure cook the cowpea

The Upliance 2.0 will automatically pressure cook the cowpea for 30 minutes at low flame, resulting in 5 whistles. Once complete, allow pressure to release naturally.

Add remaining ingredients and cook

Add 250g chopped cabbage, 25g grated coconut, 2 pieces of onion (cut into four), 2 stems of minced ginger, 5 cloves of peeled garlic, 3g dried red chilli, and 10 washed curry leaves to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select sauté mode at 95°C for 300 seconds (5 minutes). Then select simmer mode at 95°C for 180 seconds (3 minutes), followed by simmer mode at 95°C for 720 seconds (12 minutes) with automatic stirring.

The dish is ready
