Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 4 g Cashews (peeled)
  • 120 g Suji/Rava
  • 2 stems Ginger (minced)
  • 2 stems Green Chilli (minced)
  • 92 g Curd
  • 100 ml Water (for batter)
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 0.25 tsp Hing
  • 1 tsp Eno
  • 700 ml Water (for steaming)
  • 2 stems Coriander Leaves (chopped)

Add base ingredients to jar

Add ginger, green chillies, ghee, cashews, and rava to The Upliance jar. The device will prepare the aromatic base.

The device will now roast

The Upliance will chop the aromatics and roast the rava mixture on medium heat for 12 minutes with automatic stirring. Once done, transfer to a bowl, mix with curd, salt, and water, and let rest for 15 minutes.

Prepare tempering and steam

Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, and hing to The Upliance jar. Select sauté mode on medium heat for 30 seconds. Mix this and Eno into the batter. Rinse the jar, add 700ml water, and place the filled steamer basket inside.

The dish is ready

The Upliance will steam the idlis on low heat for 15 minutes. Remove the steamer basket, let rest for 5 minutes, garnish with coriander, and serve hot.
