Rice Idli batter is a fermented batter made from a combination of rice and black gram (also known as urad dal). The rice and black gram are soaked separately and ground into a smooth paste. Idli batter for 2 portions makes 10 idlis
After soaking ingredients separately, drain the water. Add the soaked Urad Dal and Methi seeds to The Upliance jar. The device will guide you through adding specific amounts of fresh water.
The Upliance will blend the dal into a fluffy paste using variable speeds. You will then be prompted to add the soaked rice, poha, and water. The device will grind the mixture into a slightly coarse batter suitable for idlis.
The device will mix the batter for 60 seconds to aerate it. It will then switch to fermentation mode, maintaining a constant low heat (40°C) for 7 hours to allow the batter to ferment perfectly inside the jar.
Once fermentation is complete, the batter will be risen and airy. Remove from The Upliance jar and steam in greased idli molds for 10-12 minutes to serve.
No more standing over the stove. Upliance stirs your filling perfectly.
Maintain exact 120°C for perfect sautéing without burning.
