Chole masala, also known as chana masala or channay, is a popular Indian dish made with chickpeas, tomatoes, and a blend of spices. Pair with Poori/Rice/Roti/Paratha
Add 1 tbsp Refined Oil, 0.5 tsp Jeera, 0.25 tsp Hing, 130 g Onion (cut into four), 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed), 10 cloves Garlic (peeled), and 5 g Ginger (peeled) to The Upliance jar. The Upliance will first cut the aromatics in 8 seconds. Then, it will automatically sauté them on medium heat for 9 minutes, with continuous stirring.
Add 130 g Tomato (chopped), 0.25 tsp Turmeric, 0.25 tsp Cinnamon Powder, 0.75 tbsp Chole Masala, 0.75 tsp Garam Masala, 0.75 tbsp Rajma Masala, 0.75 tsp Salt, 60 ml Water, and 20 g Boiled Chickpea (mashed) to The Upliance jar. The Upliance will now cook this mixture on medium heat for 7 minutes with automatic stirring, followed by a quick scrape and stir.
Add the remaining boiled chickpeas along with their cooking water to The Upliance jar. The Upliance will cook the chole with the gravy on low heat for 12 minutes with continuous stirring, allowing the flavors to meld perfectly.
The Chole Masala is ready. Garnish with 1 tbsp Ghee and 5 stem Coriander Leaves (chopped). Serve hot with your choice of bread or rice.
