Ingredients

  • 80 g Moong Dal Split - Yellow (washed and soaked)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 0.25 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
  • 3 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 6 cloves Garlic (peeled)
  • 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed)
  • 90 g Onion (cut in two)
  • 90 g Tomato (chopped)
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 420 ml Water
  • 2 stems Coriander Leaves
  • 4 leaves Mint Leaves (cleaned)
  • 0.5 tbsp Lemon Juice

Instructions

Add aromatics and vegetables

Add ghee, cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger, garlic, green chilli, onions, and tomatoes to The Upliance jar.

Chop and sauté base

The device will now chop and sauté the aromatics. It operates on medium heat for approximately 8 minutes with automatic stirring to create the masala base.

Add dal and cook

Add the soaked moong dal, water, turmeric, garam masala, and salt to the jar. The Upliance will simmer the dal on low heat for 40 minutes until fully cooked.

Finish and serve

The dish is ready. Garnish with coriander leaves, mint leaves, and lemon juice before serving.
