Ingredients

  • 140 g Sona Masoori Rice (washed and soaked for 1 hour)
  • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
  • 15 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 2 Dried Red Chilli (stem removed)
  • 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 0.25 tsp Hing
  • 2 pieces Tomato (halved)
  • 1.25 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Kashmiri Mirch
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 380 ml Water
  • 4 stems Coriander Leaves (minced)

Instructions

Add spices to jar

Add refined oil, curry leaves, dried red chilli, mustard seeds, and hing to The Upliance jar. Ensure the rice is soaked and drained before starting.

The device will now sauté

The device will sauté the spices on medium heat for 1.5 minutes. Then, add salt, kashmiri mirch, coriander powder, garam masala, and halved tomatoes. The device will cook on low heat for 5 minutes and automatically chop the tomatoes.

Add rice and cook

Add 380 ml water and the drained rice to the jar. The device will cook the rice on low heat for approximately 27 minutes with intermittent automatic stirring to ensure even cooking without burning.

The dish is ready

Once cooked, let the rice sit in the jar for 5 minutes to fluff up. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with raita.
