A popular South Indian rice recipe, tomato rice can be made easily with leftover rice, tomatoes, and a bunch of spices. Pair with Raita/Curd
Add 2 tbsp Refined Oil to The Upliance jar. Then add 15 washed Curry Leaves, 2 Dried Red Chillies (stems removed), 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds, and 0.25 tsp Hing. Select sauté mode at medium heat for 1 minute 30 seconds with automatic stirring. After this, add 2 cut Tomatoes and continue sautéing at low heat for 5 minutes with gentle stirring until tomatoes soften.
Add 1.25 tsp Salt, 0.5 tsp Kashmiri Mirch, 1 tsp Coriander Powder, and 1 tsp Garam Masala to The Upliance jar. The device will stir automatically to combine the spices with the sautéed tomatoes for 10 seconds. Then, add the 140 g washed and soaked Sona Masoori Rice and 380 ml Water to the jar. Cover with silver foil.
The Upliance will now cook the tomato rice at low heat with automatic stirring for approximately 27 minutes. After cooking, let the rice rest in the jar for 3 minutes without stirring.
The dish is ready. Transfer the cooked Jain Tomato Rice to a serving bowl. Garnish with 4 minced Coriander Leaves. Let it sit for 5 minutes after plating for it to fluff out before serving.
Skip the knife work. Add the ingredients and let Upliance handle the rest.
