Ingredients

  • 80 g Moong Dal Split - Yellow (washed)
  • 300 ml Water
  • 6 g Kokum (soaked)
  • 0.25 tbsp Tamarind Paste (or Lemon Juice) (if Kokum unavailable)
  • 50 ml Kokum Water (strained)
  • 1 tbsp Refined Oil
  • 1 piece Green Chilli (removed)
  • 1 piece Tomato (cut into two)
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 20 g Grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp Goda Masala
  • 1 tbsp Jeera
  • 10 Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 0.5 tsp Hing
  • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Dried Red Chilli
  • 0.5 stem Coriander Leaves (minced)
  • 2 tsp Jaggery Powder

Instructions

Add initial ingredients to jar

Add 80g washed moong dal, 300ml water, 6g soaked kokum (or substitute), and 50ml strained kokum water to The Upliance 2.0 jar.

The device will now cook the dal

The Upliance 2.0 will automatically cook the dal at 95°C for 2100 seconds (35 minutes) with automatic stirring (stir duty 6, stir angle 140).

Add remaining ingredients to jar

Add remaining ingredients (oil, green chilli, tomato, mustard seeds, turmeric, coconut, goda masala, jeera, curry leaves, hing, garam masala, salt, and jaggery powder) to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The Upliance 2.0 will sauté these ingredients at 95°C for 60 seconds using automatic stirring.

After the cooking cycle is complete, garnish with minced coriander leaves. The Maharashtrian Amti is ready to serve.
