Ingredients

  • 1.5 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.5 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 0.5 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
  • 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed)
  • 6 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 3 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
  • 0.75 tsp Salt
  • 400 g Bottle Gourd (cubed)
  • 80 ml Water
  • 2 stems Coriander Leaves (minced)

Prepare the tempering

Add ghee, jeera, and hing to The Upliance jar. The device heats the tempering on medium heat for 1 minute. Add ginger and green chillies to the jar.

Chop and sauté spices

The device will now chop the aromatics for 10 seconds. Add coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, and salt. The device sautés the mixture on medium heat for 2 minutes with automatic stirring.

Cook the Lauki

Add cubed bottle gourd and water to the jar. The device cooks on medium heat for 2 minutes, then simmers on low heat for 15 minutes until the vegetable is tender.

Serve and Garnish

The dish is ready. Garnish with fresh minced coriander leaves and serve hot as a side for dal-rice or with roti.
