Crisp lettuce is the star of this simple lettuce salad recipe which gets done in 5 mins, with the easiest dry base dressing and a good sprinkle of seeds and peanuts. Use crispy lettuce such as Romaine or red leaf lettuce for best results

Ingredients

  • 150 g Iceberg Lettuce (washed and roughly chopped)
  • 100 g Cherry tomatoes (washed)
  • 80 g Roasted Salted Peanuts (divided use)
  • 0.5 tbsp Tamarind Paste (pure)
  • 2 tsp Sugar (granulated)
  • 0.25 tsp Salt (table)
  • 2 tbsp Groundnut Oil (cold pressed)
  • 1 tbsp Sunflower Seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Add dressing ingredients to jar

Add 70g roasted peanuts, tamarind paste, sugar, salt, and groundnut oil to The Upliance jar.

The device will now prepare the base

The Upliance will blend the dressing ingredients at low heat (20°C) for 5 seconds at speed 6 to create a coarse flavor base.

Add vegetables and process

Add the lettuce and cherry tomatoes to the jar. The Upliance will chop and mix the salad at low heat for 8 seconds at speed 4.

The dish is ready

Transfer the salad to a serving bowl. Garnish with the remaining 10g peanuts and sunflower seeds. Serve immediately.
