    • 600 ml Water
    • 1.5 tsp Salt
    • 1 piece Onion (chopped)
    • 0.25 tsp Jeera
    • 0.125 tsp Methi Seeds
    • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
    • 10 g Split Urad Dal
    • 0.5 tbsp Coriander Seeds
    • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
    • 2 tbsp Tamarind Paste
    • 1 tsp Jaggery Powder

    Bitter Gourd Plain is a simple and nutritious dish that highlights the natural flavors of bitter gourd. The bitter gourd is thinly sliced and cooked until tender, allowing its unique taste to shine through. Pair with Chapati

      Prepare Bitter Gourd for boiling

      Add 200g peeled and sliced bitter gourd, 600ml water, and 0.75 tsp salt to The Upliance jar. Then, add 1 chopped onion to the jar.

      Boil Bitter Gourd and Chop Onion

      The Upliance will first boil the bitter gourd at medium heat for 10 minutes with automatic stirring. After boiling, strain the bitter gourd and set aside. Then, the Upliance will chop the onion for 10 seconds at high speed in the jar.

      Sauté Spices and Cook Masala

      Add 2 tbsp refined oil, 0.25 tsp jeera, 0.125 tsp methi seeds, 10 washed curry leaves, 10g split urad dal, and 0.5 tbsp coriander seeds to The Upliance jar. The Upliance will sauté these aromatics for 3 minutes at medium heat with automatic stirring. Then, add the previously boiled bitter gourd, 0.75 tsp salt, 2 tbsp tamarind paste, and 1 tsp jaggery powder. The Upliance will cook the bitter gourd masala for 15 minutes at medium heat with automatic stirring.
