
Add ghee, green chilli, bay leaf, clove, mustard seeds, turmeric, cinnamon stick, ginger, and tomato to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Then add the soaked and strained dal. Select sauté mode at 120°C for 5 minutes until aromatics are fragrant.
The Upliance 2.0 will now automatically stir and cook the ingredients for 60 seconds at 120°C (HML heating mode, speed 14). This step will sauté the spices to release their flavors.
Add hing, jeera, methi seeds, dried red chilli, curry leaves, tamarind paste, jaggery powder, kokum water, lemon juice, salt, and hot water to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will now cook the dal at 95°C (TAT heating mode, speed 13) for 2100 seconds with automatic stirring (stir duty 6, stir angle 140).
After cooking, let the dal rest for 5 seconds. The Gujrati Style Dal is ready to serve. Garnish with coriander leaves (if desired) before serving.
