    Ingredients

    • 80 g Moong Dal Split - Yellow (washed and soaked for 2 hours)
    • 730 ml Water
    • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
    • 1 tsp Jeera
    • 0.25 tsp Hing
    • 3 g Ginger (peeled)
    • 6 cloves Garlic (peeled)
    • 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed)
    • 50 g Gongura (trimmed)
    • 0.25 tsp Turmeric
    • 0.5 tsp Salt
    • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
    • 4 stem Coriander Leaves (minced)

    Instructions

Moong Dal with Gongura has a natural tangy taste from the Gongura leaves and is packed with flavors from garlic and subtle spices. Pair with Rice

    1. 1

      Add Dal and Initial Spices

First, add the pre-soaked 80 g Moong Dal and 330 ml Water to The Upliance jar. Then, add 2 tbsp Refined Oil, 1 tsp Jeera, and 0.25 tsp Hing. The Upliance will automatically prepare these for the initial sauté.

    2. 2

      Chop and Sauté Aromatics

The Upliance will now chop the 3 g peeled Ginger, 6 cloves peeled Garlic, and 1 piece stem-removed Green Chilli. It will then sauté them along with the initial spices at medium heat for approximately 1 minute. The automatic stirring ensures even cooking and perfect flavor extraction.

    3. 3

      Add Gongura and Cook Dal

Repeat the above process by adding the 50 g trimmed Gongura leaves, 0.25 tsp Turmeric, 0.5 tsp Salt, and 0.5 tsp Garam Masala to the jar. The Upliance will sauté them at low heat for 3 minutes before combining with the dal and cooking at low heat for 35 minutes until soft and well-incorporated.

    4. 4

      Garnish and Serve

The Moong Dal with Gongura is now ready. Garnish with 4 stem minced Coriander Leaves and serve hot with rice or bread for a complete meal.
