Ingredients

  • 50 g Toor Dal (washed)
  • 650 ml Water
  • 1 stem Coriander Leaves (trimmed)
  • 120 g Small Brinjal
  • 100 g Sambar Onions (Shallots, sliced)
  • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • 2 Dried Red Chilli (remove)
  • 0.25 tsp Hing
  • 10 Curry Leaves (wash)
  • 10 cloves Garlic (peel)
  • 5 g Ginger (peel)
  • 1 piece Tamarind Paste (remove)
  • 70 g Tomato (cut)
  • 1 tbsp Sambar Powder
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 0.5 tbsp Coriander Leaves (none)

Instructions

Add Initial Ingredients to Jar

Add Toor Dal, Water, Coriander Leaves to The Upliance 2.0 jar for pressure cooking. After pressure cooking move contents to a seperate bowl and set aside to be reused in later steps.

Cook Veggies

Add Small Brinjal, Sambar Onions, Tomato to the Upliance 2.0 jar. Select stir-fry mode on high heat for 7 minutes until veggies are cooked.

Add spices and other ingredients

Add Refined Oil, Ghee, Turmeric, Dried Red Chilli, Hing, Curry Leaves, Garlic, Ginger, Tamarind Paste, Sambar Powder, Salt, and the previously cooked Dal. The Upliance 2.0 will now cook the ingredients automatically for 8 minutes on medium heat.

The dish is ready to serve

Set Upliance 2.0 to sauté mode on low heat for 3 minutes. Garnish with Mustard Seeds and Coriander Leaves before serving.
