Gujarati kadhi is a sweet tangy yogurt-based dish made with gram flour, spices, herbs, and seasonings. This easy variant of kadhi is made without gram flour fritters (pakoda). It makes for a quick comforting lunch or dinner. Pair with a side of steamed basmati rice or roti
Add 1 tbsp Ghee, 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds, 0.5 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds), 0.5 tsp Hing (Asafoetida), 1 Dried Red Chilli (stem removed), and 10 Curry Leaves to The Upliance jar.
The Upliance will now sauté these spices on low heat for 1 minute with automatic stirring. After this, add 1 Green Chilli (stem removed), 4 g Ginger (peeled), and 5 stems Coriander Leaves (root-cut) to the jar. The Upliance will then cut these ingredients for 10 seconds, followed by sautéing them on low heat for 40 seconds with automatic stirring.
Now, add 150 g Thick Curd, 15 g Besan Flour, 0.75 tsp Salt, 0.5 tsp Sugar, and 450 ml Water to The Upliance jar. The Upliance will cook the Kadhi on low heat for 15 minutes with automatic stirring until it thickens to your desired consistency.
The dish is ready! Garnish the Gujarati Kadhi with the remaining 2 stems of fresh Coriander Leaves and serve hot with a side of steamed basmati rice or roti.
Skip the knife work. Add the ingredients and let Upliance handle the rest.
