    Ingredients

    • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
    • 0.5 tsp Mustard Seeds
    • 10 Curry Leaves
    • 0.25 tsp Hing
    • 20 g Roasted Salted Peanuts
    • 60 g Carrot (peeled and cut)
    • 130 g Onion (cut into quarters)
    • 1 piece Green Chilli (stem removed)
    • 5 g Ginger (peeled)
    • 30 g Frozen Peas (washed)
    • 120 g Roasted Vermicelli
    • 360 ml Water
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
    • 4 stems Coriander Leaves (chopped)
    • 10 g Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • 15 g Grated Coconut

    Instructions

    Known as "Shavige Bath" in Karnataka. This has been a go-to recipe for rushed mornings. Easy to find ingredients, quick to cook and a satiating breakfast, makes it a winner for when you are running late.

      Add tempering ingredients to jar

      Add refined oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, hing, and roasted peanuts to The Upliance jar to begin the tempering process.

      The device will now chop and sauté vegetables

      The device will sauté spices on medium heat for 1.5 minutes. Then add carrots, onions, ginger, and green chilli. The Upliance will automatically chop the vegetables and sauté them on medium heat for approximately 11 minutes.

      Add vermicelli and water to cook

      Add frozen peas, roasted vermicelli, water, salt, and lemon juice to the jar. The Upliance will mix and cook the mixture on medium heat for 14 minutes using automatic stirring to ensure fluffy vermicelli.

      The dish is ready

      Once the cooking cycle ends, transfer the Upma from The Upliance jar to a bowl. Garnish with coriander leaves, a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, and grated coconut before serving.
