Ingredients

  • 80 g Moong Dal Split - Yellow (washed and soaked overnight)
  • 400 ml Water
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 0.5 tbsp Ginger (minced)
  • 0.5 tsp Green Chilli (minced)
  • 0.25 tsp Hing
  • 0.25 tsp Jeera
  • 280 ml Water
  • 4 stems Coriander Leaves (minced)
  • 0.25 tsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 g Garlic (peeled)
  • 6 cloves Garlic (peeled)
  • 1 piece Schezwan Chutney (remove seeds)

Instructions

Add initial ingredients to jar

Add ghee, turmeric powder, ginger, green chilli, hing, jeera, and 280ml of water to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select sauté mode at 120°C for 30 seconds. The device will now sauté the aromatics.

The device will now cook the dal

Add soaked dal and remaining water to the jar. Select the ‘Cooking Dal’ setting on The Upliance 2.0. The device will automatically cook the dal at 95°C for approximately 20 minutes with automatic stirring.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer

Add garlic, and Schezwan chutney to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will automatically stir and simmer at 95°C for 5 minutes. Add salt to taste.

The dish is ready

Garnish with coriander leaves. The Schezwan Dal is ready to serve. The Upliance 2.0 will automatically keep the dal warm until serving.
