Ingredients

  • 160 g Sona Masoori Rice (soaked)
  • 6 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 1 unit Dried Red Chilli (stem removed)
  • 420 ml Water (room temperature)
  • 1.25 tsp Salt (none)
  • 2 tbsp Refined Oil (none)
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds (none)
  • 10 leaves Curry Leaves (washed)
  • 0.5 tsp Hing (none)
  • 0.75 tsp Turmeric (none)
  • 4 stem Coriander Leaves (chopped)
  • 20 g Roasted Salted Peanuts (none)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice (none)

Instructions

Add aromatics to jar

Add peeled ginger and dried red chilli to The Upliance jar. Ensure the rice has been soaked for 60 minutes prior to this step.

Cook the rice

The device will now cut the aromatics. Add the strained rice, 420ml water, and salt. The device will cook the rice on medium heat for 17 minutes.

Add spices and sauté

Add refined oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, hing, and turmeric to the jar. The device will sauté the mixture on medium heat for 1 minute to infuse the flavors.

The dish is ready

Add lemon juice, roasted peanuts, and coriander leaves. The dish is ready to be served hot.
