Ingredients

  • 0.75 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric
  • 3 tbsp Sambar Onions (Shallots)
  • 100 g Grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Tamarind Paste
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Coriander Leaves
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirch
  • 1 tsp Methi Seeds
  • 120 ml Water (adjust as needed)
  • Quantity as needed Coconut Oil
  • Quantity as needed Salt
  • Powdered Masala (amount as per recipe)

Add aromatics and spices to jar

Add Mustard Seeds, Turmeric, Sambar Onions, Curry Leaves, Tamarind Paste, Coriander Powder, Kashmiri Mirch, and Methi Seeds to The Upliance 2.0 jar. Select sauté mode at 95°C for 30 minutes with automatic stirring.

The device will now sauté aromatics

The Upliance 2.0 will automatically sauté the ingredients at 95°C for 30 minutes. It will stir automatically to prevent burning.

Add coconut and water, then cook

Add Grated Coconut and Water to The Upliance 2.0 jar. The device will now cook at 110°C for 120 minutes with automatic stirring and scraping. Add powdered masala during the last 60 minutes of cooking

The dish is ready

After 120 minutes, the Ulli Theeyal is ready. Season with salt to taste. Serve hot with pav, naan, or parathas.
