Daliya Dal Khichdi is a complete meal in itself. Made with rice and lentils, khichdi is healthy, wholesome and a comfort food. This recipe is also gluten-free. It can be made vegan by replacing the ghee with oil.
Add ghee, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds (jeera), and hing to The Upliance jar. The device will heat on medium heat for 30 seconds to temper the spices perfectly.
Add quartered onion, green chilli, garlic cloves, and halved tomato to the jar. The Upliance will chop these ingredients and sauté them on low heat for 5 minutes with automatic stirring.
Add salt, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, frozen vegetables, washed daliya, dal, and water. The device will simmer the mixture on low heat for 32 minutes with continuous stirring to create a creamy texture.
The cooking process completes automatically. Open the lid, garnish with a tablespoon of ghee and fresh minced coriander leaves, and serve hot.
