Ingredients

  • 80 g Masoor Dal (washed and soaked)
  • 2 tbsp Refined Oil
  • 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 3 tsp Kasoori Methi
  • 3 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 2 medium Onions (halved)
  • 1 Green Chilli (stem removed)
  • 3 medium Tomatoes (halved)
  • 15 g Roasted Fox Nuts (Makhana)
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1.25 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
  • 0.25 tsp Turmeric
  • 500 ml Water
  • 4 stems Coriander Leaves (minced)
  • 0.5 tbsp Ghee

Instructions

Add aromatics to jar

Add refined oil, cumin seeds, kasoori methi, peeled ginger, halved onions, and green chilli to The Upliance jar.

The device will now prepare the masala

The device will chop the aromatics and sauté on low heat. It will prompt for tomatoes, chop them, and cook the gravy base for approximately 9 minutes with automatic stirring.

Add dal and spices

Add the soaked dal, water, 10g roasted fox nuts, salt, turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala. The Upliance will cook the dal on low heat for 35 minutes.

The dish is ready

The dal is cooked. Garnish with ghee, chopped coriander, and the remaining roasted fox nuts. Serve hot with rice or chapati.
