Modak is a traditional Indian sweet dumpling, often associated with Lord Ganesha. These steamed or fried treats have a rice flour or wheat dough exterior filled with a sweet mixture, usually made from jaggery and coconut.
Add ghee and poppy seeds to The Upliance jar. Select sauté mode on medium heat for 30 seconds. Then add jaggery powder, grated coconut, and cardamom powder.
The device will now cook the mixture on low heat for 10 minutes with automatic stirring ensuring the jaggery melts evenly without burning. Remove filling and let cool.
Clean jar, boil water, and mix with rice flour to form a dough. Grease palms, shape dough into dumplings, stuff with the cooled filling, and seal.
Add 500ml water to The Upliance jar. Place modaks on the steamer tray. The device will steam on low heat for 10 minutes. The dish is ready.
