Also known as Bisi Bele Huliyanna, Bisi Bele Bath is essentially a spicy dish made with rice, lentils and vegetables that is tempered with typical South Indian spices and nuts. A special spice blend called the Bisi Bele Bath powder is also added to it, which gives it the authentic taste. Pair with Curd/Raita
Add ghee, cinnamon stick, mustard seeds, hing, dried red chilli, and curry leaves to The Upliance jar. Select sauté mode at medium heat for 30 seconds with automatic stirring. Then, add chopped onion (cut into four) and peeled & cut potato to the jar. The Upliance will sauté these vegetables at high heat for 5 minutes with automatic stirring.
Add washed carrot, frozen peas, cashews, washed and soaked toor dal, washed sona masoori rice, Bisi Bele Bhath powder, tamarind paste, turmeric, Kashmiri mirch, salt, and water to The Upliance jar. The Upliance will now combine these ingredients automatically.
The Upliance will cook the mixture, starting with a 6-minute phase at high heat, followed by a 40-minute simmer at low heat, ensuring constant automatic stirring for a consistent texture. A final 5-minute stir will complete the cooking process.
The Bisi Bele Bhath is ready. Garnish with sautéed cashews, curry leaves, ghee, and roasted salted peanuts. Serve hot with curd or raita.
