Ingredients

  • 700 g Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 120 g Pearl Barley (measured and washed)
  • 50 g Sweet Corn (washed)
  • 2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp Honey
  • 2 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Mustard Sauce
  • 0.75 tsp Black Pepper
  • 0.5 piece Red Bell Pepper (deseeded)
  • 0.5 piece Yellow Bell Pepper (deseeded)
  • 120 g Cherry tomatoes (washed)
  • 10 g Iceberg Lettuce (washed)
  • 20 g Roasted Salted Peanuts

Instructions

Boil the grains

Add water, salt, washed pearl barley, and sweet corn to The Upliance jar.

Cook the barley and corn

The device will now cook the grains on low heat for 25 minutes with automatic stirring. Once done, strain the mixture and set aside.

Chop and mix the salad

Add olive oil, honey, vinegar, spices, peppers, and tomatoes to The Upliance jar. The device will chop the vegetables, then add the boiled grains back to mix automatically.

Serve the bowl

The dish is ready. Transfer the salad to a bowl and garnish with fresh iceberg lettuce and roasted salted peanuts.
