Satara Special Karda Mutton

Satara special kharda mutton is a green masala recipe with fresh green chilies and coriander leaves. It's a dry dish, but can be made into gravy. The freshly ground masala adds a fantastic twist with spicy flavors. Garam masala can be skipped for a milder taste. Pair with Steamed Rice

Ingredients

  • 500 g Mutton (Curry Cut, pressure cooked with spices)
  • 4 medium Onions (cut into quarters)
  • 60 g Grated Coconut (fresh or desiccated)
  • 10 cloves Garlic (peeled)
  • 5 g Ginger (peeled)
  • 20 stems Coriander Leaves (roots cut)
  • 3.5 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 2 Black Cardamom pods
  • 1 Dried Red Chilli
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Mirch Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 0.75 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala

Instructions

Add aromatics to jar

Add quartered onions, green chilies, garlic, ginger, sugar, coriander stems, and grated coconut to The Upliance jar for the green masala base.

The device will now cut and cook the paste

The device will chop the ingredients into a fine paste. Add ghee, jeera, black cardamom, and dried red chilli. The Upliance will sauté the mixture on low heat for approximately 6 minutes with automatic stirring until aromatic.

Repeat the above with mutton

Add turmeric, Kashmiri mirch, coriander powder, garam masala, and the pressure-cooked mutton. The device will cook the mutton with the masala on low heat for 20 minutes to coat the pieces evenly.

The dish is ready

The dry green masala mutton is ready. Garnish with a tablespoon of ghee and fresh coriander leaves before serving.
