Curd Rice (Yogurt Rice) is typically a South Indian dish made of curd (yogurt), rice, herbs, and spices. This recipe gets garnished with coriander and sweet pomegranate pearls. Pair with pickle.
Add washed rice, water, and salt to The Upliance jar. The device will cook the rice on medium heat (100-120°C) for approximately 22 minutes. Once done, remove rice and let it cool completely.
Add ghee, oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, cashews, grated ginger, red chilli, hing, and curry leaves to the jar. The device will now sauté the spices on medium heat (100-120°C) for 1 minute until aromatic.
Add the cooled rice, curd, and milk back into the jar with the tempering. Repeat the above by letting The Upliance mix everything gently for 1 minute to combine without mashing the grains.
The dish is ready. Transfer the Curd Rice to a bowl and garnish with fresh coriander leaves and sweet pomegranate pearls before serving.
Skip the knife work. Add the ingredients and let Upliance handle the rest.
