    • 200 g frozen peas (washed)
    • 2 pieces capsicum (cut into four)
    • 100 g cabbage (cut into three)
    • 2 tbsp refined oil
    • 2 stems green chilli (minced)
    • 4 tsp pav bhaji masala
    • 1.5 tsp kasoori methi
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1.5 tbsp kashmiri mirch
    • 1 tsp amchur powder
    • 0.75 tsp fennel seeds powder
    • 0.5 tsp turmeric
    • 250 ml water
    • 1 small bunch coriander leaves (chopped)

    Instructions

This Jain version of Pav Bhaji is specifically tailored for those who follow a Jain diet, which prohibits the consumption of certain vegetables like onions and garlic. Pair with Pav or Chapati

    1. 1

      Prepare Initial Tempering

Add 2 tbsp refined oil, 2 stems minced green chilli, and 1 small bunch chopped coriander leaves to The Upliance jar. Select sauté mode and cook on medium heat for 30 seconds with automatic stirring. Then, add 3 pieces cut tomatoes and continue sautéing on medium heat for 5 minutes until soft.

    2. 2

      Add Vegetables and Spices

Add 200 g washed frozen peas, 2 pieces cut capsicum, and 100 g cut cabbage to The Upliance jar. Follow with 4 tsp pav bhaji masala, 1.5 tsp kasoori methi, 1 tsp salt, 1.5 tbsp kashmiri mirch, 1 tsp amchur powder, 0.75 tsp fennel seeds powder, and 0.5 tsp turmeric. Add 250 ml water.

    3. 3

      Cook and Mash the Bhaji

The Upliance will now cook the mixture on medium heat with automatic stirring for 10 minutes. Then, it will continue to cook and mash the bhaji for an additional 15 minutes, ensuring a smooth consistency. The device will automatically adjust speed for mashing.

    4. 4

      Serve Jain Pav Bhaji

The Upliance will signal when the Jain Pav Bhaji is perfectly cooked and mashed. Serve the hot bhaji immediately with butter-roasted pav or fresh chapatis, garnished with extra coriander leaves if desired.
