Khaman dhokla is a popular Gujarati snack made from fermented gram flour batter. The batter is spiced with green chilies, ginger, and turmeric, then steamed until light and fluffy. Once cooked, it is tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves for added flavor
Mix besan, suji, chilies, ginger, salt, curd, and 150ml water in a bowl. Whisk out lumps, add Eno, and pour into a greased mould. Add 500g water to The Upliance jar and place the steamer basket on top.
The Upliance will steam the batter on low heat for 30 minutes. Once done, remove the steamer basket and set the dhokla aside to cool slightly.
Empty and clean The Upliance jar. Add oil, mustard seeds, jeera, hing, curry leaves, sugar, and 300ml water. The device will cook the syrup on low heat for 10 minutes with automatic stirring.
Cut the steamed dhokla into cubes. Pour the hot tempering syrup over the dhokla, allowing it to soak in. The dish is ready to serve.
